Cerritos College swept El Camino College 3–0 in women’s volleyball on Oct. 9. The Falcons won the South Coast Conference match 25–22, 25–11, 25–21. Cerritos improved to 8–6 overall and 1–1 in conference play.
How the game unfolded
Elizabeth Beltran led the Falcons with 10 kills. Jovie Navarro recorded 27 assists, while Roselyn Tobie supplied a team-high 16 digs. Lily Munoz added seven block assists and five service aces.
El Camino stayed close in the first and third sets but could not recover after the one-sided second set. Cerritos finished with nine service aces and 56 digs. The Warriors fell to 10–6 overall and 2–1 in conference matches.
CSB Take
Cerritos paired enough defense with pressure from the service line to close the match without a fourth set. El Camino’s more competitive opening and final sets provide useful film, but the second-set collapse needs a separate review. A conference sweep gives the Falcons a solid result to build on as the schedule continues.
