USC swept No. 15 Indiana in women’s volleyball on Oct. 11 at Wilkinson Hall in Bloomington. The Trojans won 26–24, 25–19, 25–22. It was interim coach Megan Moenoa’s first career victory as a head coach.
How the game unfolded
Abigail Mullen led USC with 11 kills, and Mia Tvrdy added 10. Leah Ford finished with eight kills without an attacking error and led all players with six blocks. Milly McGee recorded 31 assists for the Trojans.
USC recovered from two Indiana set points in the opening set before winning the final four points. The Trojans finished with a .277 hitting percentage and 10 blocks. The win moved USC to 8–8 overall and 2–4 in Big Ten play.
CSB Take
The opening-set recovery gave USC a chance to take control without needing a longer match. Efficient work at the net then helped the Trojans close out a ranked opponent on the road. For Moenoa and the team, the useful next step is to repeat that execution rather than treat the coaching milestone as the finish of the work.
