How the game was decided
The Pacifics put up six runs in the first inning, three in the second and five in the third. That opening stretch gave them a 14–0 advantage after three innings.
Keith Whitaker and Calan Zemaitis each recorded four hits. Fred Buckson and Jacob Savoy drove in three runs apiece. San Rafael added a run in the fifth and three in the seventh; Bakersfield scored all three of its runs in the ninth.
CSB Take
The early offense settled the shape of this game. With 14 runs already on the board after three innings, San Rafael had a substantial cushion and did not need a late rally to secure the playoff win.
