UC San Diego Tritons Host Fresno State Bulldogs in Big West Men’s Basketball Homecoming Game

UC San Diego Tritons men's basketball team will host Fresno State Bulldogs on November 7, 2026, during Homecoming Weekend at LionTree Arena. Both squads enter undefeated and split their prior Division I meetings.

The UC San Diego Tritons men’s basketball team will host the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. at LionTree Arena in La Jolla, California, as part of the university’s Homecoming Weekend festivities. This marks the first time Fresno State visits LionTree Arena for a men’s basketball game.

Both teams enter the contest undefeated with 1-0 records. UC San Diego opened its season with a decisive 100-75 win against Whittier on November 2, featuring three players who scored in double figures. Fresno State secured a victory over Fresno Pacific in their annual crosstown rivalry.

These programs have met twice before, including one Division I matchup last season in Fresno where UC San Diego won 78-73. The series stands tied at one win apiece for each team in Division I competition.

Game attendees will have access to the Triton Fan Fest on RIMAC Field before tipoff, which offers free food, drinks, and games included with the game ticket. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans and students will receive complimentary Homecoming t-shirts.

UC San Diego head coach Clint Allard, who led the Tritons to a 23-11 record in the previous season—the second most wins in program history at the Division I level—is set to guide the team in its final Big West Conference season before transitioning to the West Coast Conference in July 2027. Key players include senior guard Leo Beath, a Preseason All-Big West Team selection, along with first-year guards Rahmir Barno and Kayde Dotson, both of whom had impressive scoring debuts in the opening game.

Tickets are available at the Triton Box Office. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+ or listen via radio on 97.3 The Fan in San Diego. Live game statistics will be provided on UCSDTritons.com.

CSB Take

The upcoming Homecoming Weekend contest at LionTree Arena represents a pivotal moment early in the 2026-27 season for the UC San Diego Tritons men’s basketball team. Facing an undefeated Fresno State squad, the Tritons will test both their veteran leadership and promising newcomers in a competitive Big West matchup. This game not only highlights the strong home-court advantage UC San Diego has built under coach Clint Allard but also serves as a key prelude to their transition to the West Coast Conference next summer. For fans and the program alike, it promises to be an engaging and significant event.
