The Los Angeles Rams' final Week 5 injury report, released Oct. 10, cleared Aaron Donald, Colby Parkinson and Jaylen Watson for the Buffalo Bills matchup. None of the three carried a game-status designation in that report. Safety Quentin Lake remained questionable because of a hip injury.
Three players cleared after missing Philadelphia
Donald had dealt with back soreness, Parkinson with knee and shoulder issues, and Watson with a shoulder injury. All three missed the Oct. 4 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Their progress gave the Rams options to restore depth on both offense and defense.
Sean McVay had discussed their expected return in the team's Oct. 8 injury update, provided they continued to progress. The final report then removed the uncertainty attached to their game-status designations. McVay also expressed optimism about Lake, while the report still listed the safety as questionable.
Both teams' final injury designations
The report likewise gave Konata Mumpfield, Grant Stuard and Josaiah Stewart no game-status designations. Buffalo ruled out defensive lineman Ed Oliver and wide receiver Joshua Palmer. The Bills listed DJ Moore, Dee Alford and Landon Jackson as questionable in their own Oct. 10 update.
The Week 5 matchup is scheduled for Oct. 12 at SoFi Stadium, with kickoff at 5:15 p.m. Pacific. The final injury report describes the team's pregame assessment and does not replace the official game-day active list. Any later change in a player's availability needs a separate team update.
CSB Take
The Rams gained encouraging news across three different positions. Donald and Watson can add defensive options, while Parkinson gives the offense another tight end. Lake's designation still deserves attention, because optimism from a coach and confirmed game-day availability are separate steps.
