Stacey Fox Webster Profiled for Impact on Cal State Fullerton Women’s Soccer as Player and Coach

Stacey Fox Webster, a distinguished former player and longtime assistant coach, has been profiled for her contributions to Cal State Fullerton women's soccer, highlighting her playing success, coaching impact, and ongoing involvement in youth soccer.

Stacey Fox Webster has been recognized for her significant contributions to the California State University Fullerton women’s soccer program both as a standout player and a dedicated coach. A four-year starting forward, Webster earned multiple honors during her collegiate career and later served as an assistant coach for the Titans for a decade.

Hailing from Simi Valley, California, Webster was an All-Ventura County selection at Royal High School before being recruited by Demian Brown to join Cal State Fullerton. She quickly made an impact by earning an All-Big West Conference honorable mention as a freshman. Her sophomore season was interrupted by a torn ACL 17 games into the year, but she used the rehabilitation period to increase her soccer IQ by observing games from the sidelines.

Webster returned strongly from injury, securing multiple accolades in her junior and senior years and playing a key role in the Titans’ 2012 Big West regular-season championship team. She graduated in fall 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Over her collegiate career, Webster appeared in 68 matches with 62 starts and ranks fifth in program history for game-winning goals with six.

After her playing days, Webster transitioned to coaching, joining the Titan staff as an assistant under Demian Brown. Over ten years, she helped guide the team through NCAA Tournament appearances and was known for her tactical acumen, including game-impacting adjustments. She also maintained strong relationships with players and coaches, staying connected beyond her coaching tenure.

Currently, Webster works with a technology platform serving elite youth soccer clubs nationwide, continuing her involvement in the sport. She and her husband, Perry Webster, a former Titan men’s basketball point guard and current head men’s basketball coach at Fullerton College, live in Placentia, California, with their four children.

CSB Take

Stacey Fox Webster’s journey highlights the enduring influence an individual can have on a collegiate program through resilience, leadership, and dedication. Her transition from a talented player overcoming injury to a long-serving assistant coach demonstrates the critical role former athletes play in shaping team culture and success. Webster’s ongoing commitment to youth soccer development further extends her impact beyond the college ranks, affirming the importance of athlete-to-coach pathways and sustained engagement in the sport.
