The Cal State Fullerton Titans defeated the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 5–0 in women’s soccer on Oct. 10 at Titan Stadium. Five players scored as Cal State Fullerton added four goals after halftime. The Titans improved to 6–2–5 overall and 3–0–2 in the Big West.
How the game unfolded
Sail Bozinovic scored in the 20th minute to give the Titans a 1–0 halftime lead. Sasha Amezcua doubled the advantage early in the second half. Riley O’Brien and Ionare Ve’e each recorded a first collegiate goal before Jaidyn Williams completed the scoring.
Allison Craycroft made eight saves for her fifth shutout of the season. UC Santa Barbara attempted 18 shots to Cal State Fullerton’s 15 but could not convert. The Titans’ finishing produced their largest margin of victory against the Gauchos in program history.
CSB Take
Cal State Fullerton combined efficient finishing with strong goalkeeping in a matchup near the top of the standings. Craycroft’s saves ensured the Gauchos’ shot advantage did not become a route back into the game. UC Santa Barbara must turn that pressure into goals while tightening its defense after the break.
