Cal State Fullerton Titans Women’s Soccer Draws Washington State Cougars 1-1 at Titan Stadium

Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team tied Washington State Cougars 1-1 at Titan Stadium, ending non-conference play with a 3-2-3 record before Big West start.

The Cal State Fullerton Titans women’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against the Washington State Cougars on September 13, 2026, at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, California, concluding their non-conference schedule with a 3-2-3 overall record.

The Titans took an early lead when Sail Bozinovic scored in the 11th minute, finishing a rebound following a cross by Cassie Villanueva that was deflected by the Washington State goalkeeper and struck the post. The play was set up by Kassandra Rios, who delivered a long ball to Villanueva near the byline.

Washington State responded in the 27th minute with Reagan Brisendine scoring from a through ball assisted by Lexi Lee, leveling the match at 1-1.

Fullerton outshot Washington State 23-12 overall and 10-7 in shots on goal. Washington State goalkeeper Ashlyn Dvorak made nine saves, including a penalty kick save on Camryn Cruz’s attempt in the 50th minute. Fullerton’s goalkeepers Allison Craycroft and Riley Jolls combined for five saves, splitting time in goal.

With Big West Conference play set to begin in ten days, Fullerton will host UC Riverside on September 23 at 6:00 p.m. to continue their four-game homestand.

CSB Take

The Titans demonstrated offensive control against Washington State but were unable to convert enough chances into a victory due largely to Washington State’s goalkeeper’s strong performance. This draw leaves Cal State Fullerton with momentum heading into Big West play, emphasizing the need for improved finishing and defensive focus. The upcoming home game against UC Riverside provides a prime opportunity for the Titans to build on this foundation and gain confidence as conference play begins.
