Woodland Community College defeated Mendocino College 8–1 in women’s soccer Sept. 25, according to the official 3C2A team schedule. The result gave Woodland a seven-goal winning margin.
The result and September context
Mendocino’s schedule lists victories over Shasta, 1–0 on Sept. 15, and Marin, 2–0 on Sept. 22, before the loss at Woodland.
Woodland had lost 8–2 at Foothill on Sept. 15. Its eight-goal performance against Mendocino provided a stronger result later that month.
CSB Take
The eight goals supplied clear separation for Woodland. Mendocino’s one goal could not reduce the margin enough to keep the final result close.
