Bay FC will play its 15th and final road match of the 2026 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season on October 24, facing Angel City FC at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. PT. This match offers Bay FC a chance to derail Angel City FC’s playoff hopes, as a win would leave Angel City’s postseason fate uncertain heading into the final game day.
Bay FC is coming off a strong performance against Portland, rallying from an early deficit to take a second-half lead. They look to maintain momentum and register a second consecutive unbeaten result as the season winds down. Midfielder Kennedy Fuller, who scored a curling goal nominated for NWSL Goal of the Week, will face her former club Angel City FC for the first time in this crucial fixture.
Angel City FC has been in stellar form, unbeaten since August 31 and leading the league in goals scored during that stretch. Defender Gisele Thompson, recently named NWSL Player of the Week after assisting two goals in a 3-2 comeback win over Denver, is a key contributor for Angel City. Despite their strong run, the team holds just a slim playoff cushion, with four points separating them from ninth place with two matches remaining.
The rivalry between these two California clubs is competitive, with Bay FC holding a 3-2 edge in their all-time NWSL series. Angel City has claimed victories in their last two meetings, but Bay FC won the first three matchups, all via shutouts. Both clubs have recorded wins at BMO Stadium, making this encounter another high-stakes chapter in their in-state rivalry.
Bay FC fans can watch the match live on ION and join viewing parties at multiple Northern California locations including San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, Napa, and Walnut Creek. Doors open 30 minutes before kickoff, providing regional supporters an opportunity to rally behind their team.
CSB Take
This game carries significant playoff implications as Bay FC has the opportunity to upset an in-form Angel City FC squad and complicate their postseason picture. Midfielder Kennedy Fuller’s first matchup against her former team adds narrative depth to the contest, highlighting the intense rivalry and personal stakes involved. How Bay FC performs away from home in this final road match could affect their confidence and momentum heading into the 2027 season.
