The Bay Area Panthers announced Sept. 17, 2025, that they would enter dormancy for the 2026 Indoor Football League season.
The pause follows the 2025 campaign
The club cited rising operating costs, venue and travel expenses, and broader economic pressure. It described the pause as an opportunity to reassess its future.
The statement did not give a confirmed return date. Bay Area’s previous season ended with a 36-31 playoff loss to the Vegas Knight Hawks on Aug. 3, 2025.
CSB Take
The dated statement establishes the Panthers’ 2026 playing status. Their latest game reports remain 2025 archive coverage, and a future return requires a separate confirmed announcement.
