Bay FC Women’s Soccer Team and Sutter Health Launch ‘B You’ Mental Health and Wellness Initiative

Bay FC women's soccer team and Sutter Health announced the "B You" initiative to support mental health and wellness for young women in sports in alignment with World Mental Health Day.

On October 9, 2026, Bay FC women’s soccer team announced a partnership with Sutter Health to launch the “B You” community health and wellness initiative aimed at addressing mental health and wellbeing challenges facing young women in sports throughout the Bay Area.

The initiative was unveiled on the eve of World Mental Health Day, observed globally each October 10 and established by the World Health Organization to raise awareness of mental health issues. “B You” focuses on breaking down sports participation barriers for young women by promoting mental health, body positivity, injury prevention, and creating safe spaces for players to nurture their mental wellbeing.

Bay FC players have actively participated in videos highlighting these themes to support the broader community-based, person-centered mental health care model advocated by the initiative. Through “B You,” Bay FC and Sutter Health seek to elevate local health and wellness programs, fostering a supportive environment for young women athletes.
