How the game unfolded

Khasim opened the scoring in the 54th minute with his first collegiate goal. Stavros Charalampous supplied the corner kick that set up the finish. Ojo doubled the lead in the 81st minute after a pass from Felix Ezekwuka.

California Baptist finished with a 20–13 advantage in shots and earned 14 corner kicks. Ulrik Stroem completed the shutout for the Lancers. The result left UC Riverside 3–6–3 overall and 0–2–1 in conference play.

CSB Take

California Baptist kept producing attacking opportunities until two finishes turned the pressure into a clear advantage. Riverside remained in the contest through the first half but could not find a response after the breakthrough. The Lancers’ next challenge is to carry that chance creation into another match while protecting the defensive balance that made this result possible.
