Empire Strykers and Baker’s Drive Thru Collaborate to Support Leukemia Research at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital

The Empire Strykers and Baker’s Drive Thru teamed up to raise funds for leukemia research at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital through a summer campaign and community events in Inland Empire, California.

The Empire Strykers indoor soccer team joined forces with Baker’s Drive Thru in the Inland Empire, California, to support leukemia research and treatment at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH). This community partnership culminated a summer fundraising campaign encouraging customers of Baker’s Drive Thru to donate at checkout across various ordering platforms, including dining rooms, kiosks, and drive-thru lanes.

Beginning as parallel efforts to aid LLUCH, the collaboration grew as Empire Strykers players such as starting player Monouir and assistant coach Chuy participated in a live remote broadcast with KVCR. The event featured digital content creation, fan engagement, on-air promotion, and giveaways to boost awareness for the hospital’s children’s leukemia programs.

Baker’s Drive Thru has a long-standing history of supporting LLUCH through fundraising efforts benefiting local children and their families. While the summer donation campaign has concluded, the partnership with the Empire Strykers will carry on into the fall with additional promotions and community outreach, fostering continued support for the Inland Empire community.
