SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Fresno Grizzlies staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the Inland Empire 66ers 5-4 in 10 innings on August 29, 2026, at San Manuel Stadium in a California League game.
Trailing 4-0 going into the eighth inning, Fresno rallied with a four-run surge to tie the game. Sebastian Blanco was hit by a pitch and advanced on a wild pitch. Cort MacDonald and Wilder Dalis each walked to load the bases. Cristian Arguelles singled home Blanco, and Daniel Jackson followed with a two-run double down the left field line scoring MacDonald and Dalis, knotting the game at 4-4. Ronny Ugarte’s groundout then brought home Arguelles, completing the comeback in the eighth inning.
Brady Parker started for Inland Empire and delivered six innings with seven strikeouts but allowed the four runs, including an inside-the-park home run by Brayden Corn.
In the 10th inning, Dalis started the frame at second base and stole third base, positioning himself to score the go-ahead run. Daniel Jackson then hit a sacrifice fly to center field, giving Fresno a 5-4 lead. Inland Empire threatened in the bottom half with an automatic runner at third and one out, but Carlos Renzullo, appearing as a pinch hitter, made a critical defensive play by fielding a grounder and throwing out the tying run at home plate. Manuel Olivares closed out the game with three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.
Jackson finished the game with three RBIs, including the pivotal two-run double and the game-winning sacrifice fly. Dalis reached base three times, stole two bases, and scored the tying and winning runs. MacDonald contributed two hits and a walk, while Arguelles drove in a run during the eighth-inning rally.
The victory secured at least a .500 record for Fresno against all four South Division opponents during the 2026 season. Fresno’s next game is scheduled on August 30, 2026, against Inland Empire 66ers in their final regular-season road game at 5:35 p.m.
