Golden State Valkyries Launch 2026 WNBA Playoff Marketing Campaign Showcasing Ballhalla Spirit

The Golden State Valkyries announced a dynamic marketing campaign for the 2026 WNBA Playoffs led by VP of Marketing Andrea Fernandes, featuring player-focused videos and Bay Area community engagement.

The Golden State Valkyries unveiled their marketing campaign for the 2026 WNBA Playoffs presented by Kaiser Permanente, ahead of their postseason opener on Sunday, September 27, 2026, presented by Chase Freedom. The campaign highlights the team’s distinct culture and vibrant fan community known as Ballhalla, emphasizing their strong connection with the Bay Area.

Andrea Fernandes, vice president of marketing for the Golden State Valkyries, described the campaign as a celebration of the team’s historic achievements in just their second season. The marketing effort features two video series: “Playoff Gold,” set to music by Bay Area native Saweetie and featuring player testimonials, and “This is Ball,” which highlights the Valkyries’ unique playing style and culture.

To amplify the campaign’s reach throughout the region, violet-wrapped San Francisco Muni trains and Waymo vehicles will be prominently displayed as part of the Valkyries’ supportive postseason push. Fans can also purchase official playoff merchandise online and at the Golden State Shop.

This campaign follows the Valkyries being named Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association at the AMA SF Excellence in Marketing Awards, recognizing their successful 2026 regular season marketing initiatives.
