The LA Galaxy men’s soccer team will face CF Montréal in an interconference away match at Saputo Stadium on August 22, 2026, beginning at 16:30 PT with live coverage on Apple TV. This match marks their first road game against CF Montréal since 2018 and the tenth overall meeting between the clubs. LA Galaxy currently leads the series with five wins, one loss, and three draws, including a 4-0 victory in their most recent matchup in September 2022.
The game features key MLS forwards Hirving “Chucky” Lozano for LA Galaxy and Alexis Sánchez for CF Montréal, both expected to play pivotal roles. Midfielder Harbor Miller earned his second assist of the campaign in that game.
Defensively, LA Galaxy has been robust during August, conceding only one goal by penalty in three matches. Since late July, the team has not allowed a goal from open play for 298 minutes, spanning four consecutive matches, underscoring their defensive discipline.
This summer, LA Galaxy strengthened their squad by signing Kyōgo Furuhashi, Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, and Robert Taylor. The club also anticipates adding former FC Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto soon. Designated player João Klauss is nearing a return from injury, which will provide additional attacking depth. The Galaxy aim to maintain their strong form as these new players integrate during the critical closing phase of the MLS season.
