San Diego Padres farmhand Justin DeCriscio doubled and drove in three runs as the Peoria Javelinas defeated the Glendale Desert Dogs 10–2 on Oct. 8. DeCriscio went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Chase Harlan supplied Glendale’s two runs with a home run.
How the game unfolded
Harlan finished 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Dodgers outfielder Eduardo Quintero drew a walk and stole a base for Glendale. The Desert Dogs could not overcome Peoria’s larger offensive output.
Padres pitchers Jordan Valenzuela and Igor Gil each worked a scoreless inning. Valenzuela struck out two and walked one without allowing a hit. Gil retired the three batters he faced.
CSB Take
DeCriscio’s run production and the two scoreless pitching appearances gave San Diego useful results across more than one part of the game. Harlan’s home run gave the Dodgers a clear offensive highlight even in Glendale’s loss. The next step for each player is to build another productive appearance as the Fall League schedule continues.
