Raphael cuts the deficit
Erik Collins opened the scoring on a 16th-minute penalty kick. Tyler Schommer doubled Denver’s lead in the 57th minute from a Collins assist. Raphael answered in the 69th minute, finishing an Isaiah Easley pass for his eighth goal of the season.
San Francisco produced eight second-half shots after managing two before the break. Raphael forced another save late as the Dons sought an equalizer. He and Ben Norris finished with four shots apiece, while Lucas Jones made three saves in goal.
CSB Take
The Dons’ stronger second half gave them a route back into the match. Denver’s two-goal cushion still proved enough to withstand that pressure. San Francisco needs to generate that level of attack earlier while keeping the opening stages from becoming a recovery exercise.
