Santa Clara University has announced that Krystal Kelly will remain head coach of the Broncos women’s golf team through the 2029-30 season after signing a contract extension. Entering her 17th season in 2026-27, Kelly is the most accomplished coach in program history.
Kelly assumed the head coaching position ahead of the 2011-12 season and since then has led Santa Clara to 19 team titles and three postseason appearances. Her Broncos have finished in the top three of the West Coast Conference Championship in four of the last five seasons. The team set a program record scoring average of 292.17 strokes in the 2025-26 season, continuing a trend of steady improvement.
Under Kelly’s leadership, 16 players have earned 19 All-WCC honors while 17 players have been awarded NGCA/WGCA All-America Scholar honors. The program has had at least one All-America Scholar in each of the last 10 years, including at least three honorees per year over the past six seasons.
In addition, Kelly and her staff started hosting the Silicon Valley Showcase collegiate tournament at Green Hills Country Club in 2022-23, attracting leading golf programs from across the West Coast.
The Broncos are scheduled to begin their 2026-27 season September 14-15 at the Leadership and Golf Invitational in University Place, Washington.
