Early goals decide the match

Stanford limited Wake Forest to one shot and one penalty corner in the second half. Star Horlock broke up the shutout in the fourth quarter with her seventh goal of the season, a career high. Wake Forest improved to 9–4 overall and 4–1 in the ACC.
CSB Take
Stanford’s second-half response showed better control, but the early deficit left little room for recovery. Preventing turnovers and defending penalty corners are central to avoiding a repeat. Horlock’s scoring remains a useful part of an attack that must pair pressure with stronger starts.
