The Stanton University Elks shut out the Simpson Red Hawks 4–0 in men’s soccer Sunday, Oct. 4, in Redding. Four different players scored for Stanton. The Elks recorded 24 shots while limiting Simpson to three.
How the match unfolded
Theodor Hertzenberg opened the scoring at 6:53. Adnan Boulaghmal added the second goal at 37:40. Stanton carried a 2–0 lead into halftime.
Francesco De Marco converted a penalty at 51:09. Ethan Quarchioni completed the scoring at 88:51. Simpson goalkeeper Julian Mejia made eight saves, while the Red Hawks finished without a shot on target.
CSB Take
Stanton controlled both the scoring and the volume of chances. Spreading four goals across four players made the attack difficult to contain. Simpson needs more sustained possession and attacking output to reduce that kind of pressure.
