Tulsa Drillers outfielder Josue De Paula won the 2026 Texas League Most Valuable Player award, while Eric Wedge was named Manager of the Year. The club announced its postseason honors Sept. 21.

The announcement and its context

De Paula was one of five Tulsa players selected to the league’s All-Star team. Mike Sirota, Zyhir Hope, Jake Gelof and Nick Robertson also received recognition.

The awards followed Tulsa’s completed 2026 season. They recognize regular-season performance rather than a postseason championship, with the Drillers’ playoff run ending against Springfield.

CSB Take

Tulsa received recognition for both player development and team leadership. The honors provide a measure of the season’s success even though the club did not advance from its division playoff series.
