Kyle Kukkonen and Caiden Gault gave Tulsa a 2–0 first-period lead. Wichita answered and moved ahead 3–2 early in the third on Ethan Scardina’s goal.
Ethan Benz tied the score at 10:05 of the third, sending the game to overtime. Jordan Biro and Antoine Guignard also scored for Wichita.

Tulsa recovered after giving up its early lead and then falling behind. Wichita produced a three-goal response but could not prevent the equalizer and overtime finish.
