Two late goals change the result

Lisette Gregoris scored her first goal of the season in the 23rd minute from a Kiley Fehrenbacher assist. Sherry Diep equalized with a header at 80:31. Presley Devey then converted the winning penalty kick at 89:31 after New Mexico drew a foul in the area.

Cat Pieper made five saves for UC Davis. New Mexico held a 7–5 advantage in shots on goal and improved to 6–4–2 overall and 3–2 in the conference. The Aggies had maintained their lead for nearly an hour before the late reversal.

CSB Take

UC Davis did enough to put itself in position for a road result. The closing stretch still exposed the cost of allowing successive chances near goal. The Aggies need sharper defensive decisions late to make their early scoring and goalkeeping hold up through the final whistle.
