The University of Southern California men’s basketball team has released its full 20-game Big Ten Conference schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Trojans will play 10 conference games at home in the Galen Center and 10 on the road across the conference.
USC’s home slate includes matchups against the defending national champion Michigan as well as NCAA Tournament teams Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, UCLA and Wisconsin. The Trojans will face Washington, Oregon and UCLA twice each, once at home and once away, while all other conference opponents will be played once.
A notable aspect of the schedule is a unique four-game Big Ten road trip from Dec. 30, 2026, to Jan. 8, 2027, with games at Purdue, Indiana, Maryland and Rutgers. USC is the only Big Ten team with such a lengthy consecutive road swing during the conference season.
Midseason home games against Michigan State, Wisconsin and Michigan occur in January 2027 following the road trip. The team also undertakes a two-game road trip at Illinois and Northwestern later in January.
In February, USC will host Iowa, Minnesota, UCLA and Ohio State, while also making road stops at Washington and Nebraska. The regular season concludes with three games in Los Angeles: home contests against Oregon and Penn State followed by an away game against UCLA on March 6.
The 2027 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 10-14 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Additional details including tipoff times and broadcast information will be announced later on the USC Trojans official website.
CSB Take
USC men’s basketball faces a challenging Big Ten schedule featuring high-profile home games and a demanding, extended road trip early in conference play. Hosting several tournament-caliber opponents at the Galen Center provides significant opportunities to position themselves as a contender. The unprecedented four-game road swing will test the team’s endurance and depth. How the Trojans perform across this slate will be critical as they pursue success in their conference and eventual postseason aspirations.
