USC and Indiana finished in a 2–2 women’s soccer draw in Los Angeles on Oct. 11. The Trojans led by two goals at halftime but could not protect that advantage. The result left USC 1–8–5 overall and 0–5–3 in Big Ten play.

How the game unfolded

Rhea Moore scored in the opening minute after a long pass from Jaiden Rodriguez. Jordan Hill doubled USC’s lead in the 38th minute following a cross from Rhiannon Mahon. Indiana answered after halftime with goals by Grace Hamm in the 48th minute and Amaya Falzarano in the 70th.

USC finished with a narrow 12–11 advantage in shots. Both teams attempted eight shots in the second half as Indiana worked back into the match. The Hoosiers ended the game 4–8–2 overall and 1–6–1 in conference play.

CSB Take

USC’s early finishing put it in a strong position, but the second-half response decided how the result would be shared. A two-goal lead needs the same defensive attention that helped create it. The Trojans’ review should connect those two halves so a fast start can produce a more complete conference performance.
