The San Diego FC duo of Anders Dreyer and CJ Dos Santos earned MLS Team of the Matchday honors, the club announced Sept. 22. Their performances helped SDFC draw Inter Miami 2–2 on the road. Dreyer scored both San Diego goals.
The performances behind the honors
Dreyer’s second finish came in the 82nd minute. It tied the match and secured a point against the defending MLS Cup champions. His late contribution completed a productive attacking performance.
Dos Santos made six saves against his former club. The goalkeeper was selected for the Team of the Matchday’s starting group. His work helped keep San Diego within reach of the equalizer.
