Sacramento Republic FC drew FC Tulsa 1–1 Saturday, Oct. 3, on the road. Memo Rodriguez equalized in the 89th minute. The result extended Republic’s unbeaten run to 10 matches.

How the match unfolded

Arquimides Ordonez put Tulsa ahead with a ninth-minute penalty. Sacramento spent much of the match searching for an equalizer. A first-half finish by Danny Crisostomo was disallowed after a foul.

Rodriguez supplied the breakthrough with a free kick from about 25 yards. The late strike recovered a point after Tulsa had protected its advantage for most of the contest. Republic finished with four shots on target.

CSB Take

Sacramento remained competitive long enough to create one decisive late opportunity. Rodriguez’s finish rewarded that persistence. More efficient conversion of earlier chances would reduce reliance on a closing-minute response.
