Bay Area Blasters player Lily Zhang was named Major League Table Tennis Player of the Week on Sept. 29. The award followed her performance during the club’s unbeaten opening weekend.

Zhang won seven of nine singles games against Chicago’s Mo Zhang, Portland’s Yerin Kim and New York’s Mendy Wang. She also scored 12 points across the three Golden Games.
Her singles winning percentage was 77.8% at the time of the award announcement. The Blasters won all three matches and finished the weekend with 48 standings points.
