Stan State Warriors women’s volleyball return home to start a crucial four-match homestand, beginning with matches against top-ranked Fresno Pacific and UC Merced as they strive for a spot in the 2026 CCAA Volleyball Tournament.

The California State University, Stanislaus women’s volleyball team is set to begin its final four-match homestand of the regular season with important California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contests against No. 4 Fresno Pacific University and UC Merced. The Warriors will host Fresno Pacific on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 5 p.m., followed by a match against UC Merced on Saturday, October 31, 2026, also at 5 p.m., with both matches taking place at the Ed & Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock, California.

Under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Lauren Flowers, who has a 69-62 career record and holds the highest winning percentage in program history, the Warriors come into the homestand with a 6-14 overall record and 2-7 in conference play. They are targeting a spot in the seven-team CCAA Volleyball Tournament starting November 10, 2026.

Stan State recently wrapped up a challenging four-match road trip, including three-set losses to top-ranked Cal State San Bernardino and Cal State Los Angeles. The team features key players such as Emily Meyer, who leads with 161 kills, Fallon Freeman with 149 kills and strong blocking, Maggie Olson with 134 kills, Lauren Hamilton with 123 kills and the team’s top blocker, and Lauren Gonzales with 120 kills and 27 service aces. Setter Reagan Wilkerson directs the offense with 434 assists and averages 6.11 per set, contributing significantly on defense as well.

Fresno Pacific enters the matchup undefeated with a 21-0 overall record and 9-0 in conference play, firmly leading the CCAA standings. UC Merced holds a 5-15 overall record and shares the same 2-7 conference mark as Stan State. Fresno Pacific currently leads the all-time series against Stan State 6-3, including a recent five-set win on September 5, 2025. The Warriors hope to build momentum with a strong home performance in these critical conference matches.

CSB Take

Stan State’s upcoming home matches against a dominant, undefeated Fresno Pacific and a similarly positioned UC Merced represent pivotal opportunities late in the season. With the CCAA tournament berth on the line, Coach Lauren Flowers’ proven leadership and the team’s key contributors must leverage home-court advantage to secure wins that significantly impact postseason qualification. These matches will test the Warriors’ resilience and could shape their continued competitive trajectory in the final stretch.
