Los Angeles Angels prospects Jake Munroe and Ryland Zaborowski each had two hits as the Mesa Solar Sox beat the Peoria Javelinas 7–3 on Oct. 10. Munroe hit two doubles and drove in a run. Zaborowski went 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI.
How the game unfolded
Athletics farmhand Cole Conn went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Mesa. Jared Johnson added a scoreless inning on the mound. Johnson allowed one hit, struck out one and did not walk a batter.
The contributions gave both California organizations useful work within the same Arizona Fall League result. Munroe’s two doubles supplied extra-base production. Conn’s RBI and Johnson’s scoreless inning supported Mesa’s four-run winning margin.
CSB Take
Mesa received offense and pitching contributions from more than one organization in this win. Munroe and Zaborowski turned their at-bats into productive results, while the Athletics’ players supported different parts of the game. The next appearance offers each player a chance to show that the execution can continue.
