Eric Grossman-Glover scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute after CMS recovered from a second-half deficit. The Stags improved to 7–3–3 overall and 4–2–2 in SCIAC play.

Two goals 17 seconds apart

Elijah Edelman put Occidental ahead at 53:41. Samir Bouhamama equalized just 17 seconds later from a Daniel Zhu pass. Grossman-Glover then headed in a Brayden Merza cross to settle the match.

Axel Jimenez made seven saves for CMS. Occidental held a 13–9 advantage in shots and put eight attempts on goal. The Tigers fell to 4–4–4 overall and 2–2–3 in the conference.

CSB Take

CMS prevented Occidental’s goal from becoming a lasting shift in momentum by responding immediately. Jimenez’s saves then kept the match level long enough for the late winner. The Tigers need better defensive control just after scoring to protect the advantages they create.
