Two early goals create separation
Beckton opened the scoring in the fourth minute from a Darmanyan assist. Beckton returned the favor when Darmanyan scored in the 13th minute. Redlands carried the two-goal advantage into halftime.
Jaden Nisperos made four saves before Whittier found the net in the 84th minute. The Poets did not put another attempt on target during the remaining minutes. Redlands extended its unbeaten streak to eight matches despite Whittier holding a 12–7 advantage in shots.
CSB Take
Redlands used a fast attacking start to build the lead it needed. The Bulldogs then limited the final response well enough to finish the result. Whittier needs more effective finishing earlier in the match so that its shot advantage does not rely on a late comeback.
