San Diego Strike Force head coach Taylor Genuser was named the 2026 IFL Coach of the Year on Aug. 7.
A record season earns league recognition
Genuser led San Diego to a 13-3 regular-season record and the top seed in the Western Conference. The 13 wins set a franchise record.
The season also brought San Diego its first home playoff game. The club had reached the playoffs in 2024 and 2025 before earning its first No. 1 seed in 2026.
