UCLA Bruins Men’s Basketball to Host San Diego Toreros in Pauley Pavilion Exhibition Game

UCLA Bruins men's basketball will host San Diego in an exhibition game on October 27 at Pauley Pavilion as they prepare for their regular-season opener versus Arizona on November 2.

The University of California, Los Angeles Bruins men’s basketball team will host the San Diego Toreros in an exhibition game on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 7:01 p.m. Pacific Time. The game will be held at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles and will be streamed on Big Ten Plus and broadcast on AM 790 KABC radio.

Last week, UCLA cruised to a 100-53 victory over California Baptist in their first exhibition game of the season, featuring six players scoring in double figures and senior guard Eric Dailey Jr. leading with 25 points. The Bruins are preparing for their regular season opener on November 2 against No. 5 Arizona in Las Vegas, a nationally televised matchup.

Head coach Mick Cronin, entering his eighth season with 162 wins—the fifth most in UCLA program history—returns six players from last season, including seniors Xavier Booker, Eric Dailey Jr., Brandon Williams, and junior Trent Perry. The roster has been strengthened with four NCAA Division I transfers and four freshmen, aiming to build upon last season’s 24-12 record and second-round NCAA Tournament appearance.

Student tickets for UCLA men’s basketball games are free and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting four hours before tip-off on BruinWalk. Following the season opener, the Bruins will host five consecutive home games at Pauley Pavilion from November 6 to 18.

CSB Take

The exhibition against San Diego provides the UCLA Bruins an essential opportunity to integrate new players and solidify team dynamics before the regular season begins with a significant game against Arizona. With a strong core of returning talent and promising additions, Mick Cronin’s team looks to sustain its competitive form in the Big Ten Conference. Pauley Pavilion’s formidable home record will be a key advantage as UCLA seeks early momentum in the 2026-27 campaign.
