The Yuba-Sutter Freebirds lost 16-10 to the Oakland Ballers on Sept. 6 in Pioneer Baseball League play.
Oakland’s second inning changes the score
Yuba-Sutter scored four runs in the first inning, but Oakland answered with 10 in the second. The Freebirds added five runs in the third and one in the fourth to remain in the game.
Oakland added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. The Ballers finished with 17 hits, while Yuba-Sutter had 14.

The Freebirds produced enough offense to make the game competitive after Oakland’s big second inning. The Ballers’ scoring through the sixth still left Yuba-Sutter six runs short.
