California Golden Bears Women’s Soccer Hosts No. 17 Notre Dame and NC State to Finish Home Slate

The California Golden Bears women27s soccer team hosts ACC rivals No. 17 Notre Dame and NC State this week at Edwards Stadium to close its 2026 home schedule, including Senior Day honors on November 1.

The University of California, Berkeley women27s soccer team will close its regular-season home schedule by hosting two Atlantic Coast Conference opponents this week at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley. The Golden Bears face No. 17 Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Thursday, October 29, at 3:00 p.m. PT, followed by NC State Wolfpack on Sunday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. PT.

California enters the week with a 4-6-5 overall record and a 1-4-2 mark in ACC play. The Bears are aiming to rebound after a 3-1 loss to SMU at home on October 22. Forward Mia Van More scored in the fifth minute to put Cal ahead 1-0 at halftime, but three second-half goals by SMU turned the game around.

The match against Notre Dame marks only the second-ever meeting between the programs, with the previous contested in October 2024 when Notre Dame defeated Cal 5-2. The contest versus NC State is similarly the second meeting, following a 3-1 victory for Cal in September 2024. The November 1 game also serves as Senior Day, honoring nine seniors and graduate students on the Cal roster, with a pregame ceremony inviting fans to attend early.

Both games will be broadcast live on ACCNX with real-time statistics available. These contests offer the Golden Bears a chance to improve their conference standing and build momentum toward the season27s conclusion.
