The Empire Strykers have launched Empire Pulse, a new professional women’s arena soccer team that will compete in the inaugural Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Women’s National Challenge Cup during the 20261927 season. This new national tournament will feature five teams: Empire Pulse, Tacoma Galaxy, San Diego SockersW, St. Louis AmbushW, and KC CometsW.
Empire Pulse, the official sister club of the Empire Strykers, will play its home games at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. The competition will be conducted with a unified standings table. Each team will play four opening-round matches, and the top two teams will advance to a single championship final. The matches follow MASL rules with four 15-minute quarters, awarding points for regulation and overtime results.
Jeff Burum, managing partner of the Empire Strykers, emphasized the significance of the initiative: “Women’s soccer has tremendous talent, passion and potential, and we believe arena soccer provides an incredible platform to showcase it. With Empire Pulse, we’re creating real opportunities for women to compete professionally, represent their communities and inspire the next generation of athletes.” He also expressed pride in bringing the competition to the Inland Empire.
The creation of Empire Pulse and its participation in this national competition mark a key step in expanding professional women’s arena soccer. The Empire Strykers organization has supported women’s arena soccer through previous showcases and community programs and plans to announce the Empire Pulse roster, coaching staff, and schedule in the near future.
