LA Orbit announced Issa Rae as an investor on Sept. 9, while the League One Volleyball franchise was still using the LOVB Los Angeles name.
A Los Angeles investor joins the launch
Rae is a Los Angeles native whose work spans acting, production and entrepreneurship. The team announcement said she was joining the ownership group as the club prepared for its inaugural 2027 season.
The same announcement identified Intuit Dome in Inglewood as the team’s first home. The franchise later unveiled the Orbit name on Sept. 25.
