Los Angeles FC extended defender Eddie Segura’s contract through the 2029–30 season, the club announced Monday, Oct. 12. The agreement includes a club option for 2030–31. Segura first joined LAFC on loan in November 2018.
The agreement and club record
The club made his move permanent in July 2019. Segura has appeared in 216 matches across all competitions, including 179 starts. His contributions include five goals and eight assists.
Segura became LAFC’s all-time leader in minutes across all competitions in February 2026. He then became its regular-season appearance leader in May. The extension retains a player with experience across the club’s major title-winning seasons.

LAFC is committing to continuity in its defensive group. Segura’s long history with the organization gives the staff an established reference point. The agreement extends that relationship as the club continues adapting its roster and coaching structure.
