PWHL San Jose named a 29-player training camp roster Wednesday, Oct. 7, ahead of its inaugural season. The group includes 17 forwards, nine defenders and three goaltenders. Training camp is scheduled to open Nov. 18 at Sharks Ice.
The roster and preparation schedule
Eighteen players on the camp roster are signed for the upcoming season. Fifteen were members of PWHL teams during the 2025–26 campaign. General manager and coach Troy Ryan will lead the group into the new season.
San Jose is scheduled to face the Seattle Torrent in preseason scrimmages Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 at Tech CU Arena. The regular-season opener is Dec. 5 against the Minnesota Frost at SAP Center. The camp announcement gives the team a defined preparation schedule.
CSB Take
The roster brings returning professional experience together with new league arrivals. Camp will give the staff a chance to establish combinations and playing roles. The preseason scrimmages provide another evaluation point before the inaugural opener.
