Sacramento River Cats pitchers Carson Seymour and Carson Whisenhunt earned Pacific Coast League All-Star honors Sept. 26. Seymour also received the league’s Pitcher of the Year award. Both pitchers were selected as All-Star starters.
The pitchers’ season totals
Seymour made 22 appearances, including nine starts, for Sacramento during 2026. He finished with a 5–2 record and a 3.79 ERA across 76 innings. The right-hander recorded 70 strikeouts.
Whisenhunt posted a 6–4 record and a 4.15 ERA in 17 appearances, including 16 starts. He struck out 90 batters in 82⅓ innings. The recognition highlighted two contributors in the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A development program.
CSB Take
The awards recognize production from pitchers with different workloads. Sacramento received useful innings from both before their season totals were evaluated. Their development also matters to the Giants as the organization considers pitching depth.
