Sacramento River Cats’ Bo Davidson Named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for August 10-16

Sacramento River Cats outfielder Bo Davidson earned Minor League Baseball Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors for August 10-16 after batting .560 with four home runs and an eight-RBI game against Las Vegas.

Bo Davidson, outfielder for the Sacramento River Cats, was named the Minor League Baseball Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for August 10-16, 2026, after an outstanding offensive performance. Davidson batted .560, going 14-for-25 with three doubles, four home runs, 12 RBIs, two walks, and a 1.767 OPS during the week.

He led all of Triple-A in batting average (minimum 15 at-bats), hits, and total bases (29) and ranked second in home runs and RBIs. In the August 16 series finale against Las Vegas, Davidson went 4-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam, two doubles, and eight RBIs.

This eight-RBI game was the third such performance by a Triple-A player in the 2026 season and the second in Sacramento River Cats franchise history, matching Osleivis Basabe’s effort on September 18, 2025. It also marked the ninth time in franchise history a player recorded four extra-base hits in a game, a feat last accomplished by Armando Alvarez in July 2023.

Davidson was promoted from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento over the All-Star break, making his Triple-A debut on July 17. Since August 6, he has batted .450 with five doubles, four home runs, 15 RBIs, three walks, an .875 slugging percentage and a 1.375 OPS in 10 games.

CSB Take

Bo Davidson’s explosive performance in mid-August highlights his quick adaptation to the Triple-A level and establishes him as an emerging leader in the Sacramento River Cats lineup. His Player of the Week recognition reflects his significant impact in one of baseball’s highest minor leagues, suggesting potential for further advancement. Maintaining this level of production will be crucial for both Davidson’s career trajectory and the River Cats’ postseason aspirations.
